Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT)
NexStrike
We find the weaknesses before an attacker does.
Vulnerability assessment and hands-on penetration testing of your applications and networks, by people who think like attackers. You get proof for every finding, a clear explanation of the business risk, and fix guidance your developers can act on the same day.
- Best for
- SaaS, fintech and IT companies
- Typical trigger
- Customer audit, product launch, ISO 27001
- Retest
- Included in every engagement
- Report
- Executive summary and technical detail
What a NexStrike report looks like
Every finding comes with its severity, the evidence behind it, a fix your developers can act on and the compliance requirements it affects. Then we retest and show you what is closed.
Sample report with illustrative data. Real reports are shared only with you, under NDA.
What we test
Pick one target or combine several. We agree the exact scope in writing before any testing starts.
Web applications
Authentication, session handling, access control, injection, business logic and everything in the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide.
APIs
REST and GraphQL endpoints tested for broken object and function level authorisation, data exposure, rate limits and token handling.
Mobile apps
Android and iOS apps tested on the device and against their back end: local storage, certificate handling, and the APIs they call.
Network
Everything you expose to the internet, and what an attacker could reach after one laptop is compromised: open services, remote access, forgotten hosts, lateral movement, weak credentials and Active Directory paths.
Cloud exposure
Internet-facing cloud services, storage and identities in Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, tested from the outside in.
AI and LLM applications
Models, LLM-powered features and AI agents tested for prompt injection, sensitive data leakage, insecure output handling, excessive agency and model abuse, aligned to the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications.
How a test runs
1
Scope
We agree targets, test windows, accounts and what is off limits. You get a written proposal and timeline.
2
Authorise
Both sides sign the rules of engagement before a single packet is sent.
3
Test
Manual testing supported by tooling. Critical issues are reported to you the same day, not held for the report.
4
Report
An executive summary for leadership and a technical report for your engineers, walked through on a call.
5
Retest
Once you fix the issues, we test them again and update the report to show what is closed.
What you receive
- An executive summary written for leadership
- Every finding with evidence, steps to reproduce and CVSS severity
- The business impact of each issue in plain language
- Specific fix guidance for your stack
- A walkthrough call with your team
- A retest of everything you fix, included in the price
- An updated report showing which issues are closed
- Findings mapped to OWASP Top 10 and to the compliance requirements you answer to: ISO 27001, the DPDP Act and GDPR
- Results you can share with customers and auditors
- Testing data handled under NDA, with retention terms agreed in your contract
Common questions
How long does a test take?
It depends on the size of the scope. A single web application usually takes days rather than weeks. We confirm the exact timeline in the proposal before you commit.
Will testing break our production systems?
We agree test windows and the safest environment with you up front. Where production must be tested, we avoid destructive tests and stay in contact throughout.
Is the retest really included?
Yes. Every NexStrike engagement includes a retest of the issues you fix, and an updated report showing what is closed.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, before scoping. Your data and findings are treated as confidential, and how long we keep them is agreed in the proposal and contract.
Can you map findings to our compliance requirements?
Yes. Each finding can be mapped to the ISO 27001 Annex A controls, DPDP Act obligations and GDPR security requirements that apply to you, so your compliance team can use the report directly.
Do you test AI models and LLM applications?
Yes. We test models and the applications built on them, including chatbots, AI agents and retrieval systems that connect to your data. Findings are mapped to the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications.
Do you use automated scanners?
We use automated tools to cover ground quickly, but every finding in the report is manually verified by a security professional before it reaches you. Raw scanner output is never reported as a finding.
