Cloud security
NexCloud
Your cloud, configured the way it should have been.
Most cloud breaches come from settings, not sophisticated attacks: an admin without MFA, a storage bucket open to the internet, logging that was never switched on. We review your cloud configuration and give you a cloud security assessment report with prioritised fixes. If you want, we implement those fixes too, as an optional add-on.
- Best for
- Teams on Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
- Measured against
- Industry-standard CIS Benchmarks and each provider's own security guidance
- Access
- Read-only to start
- Fixes
- Optional add-on, with your sign-off
Where the doors are left open
Most cloud incidents start with a setting, not a sophisticated attack. We find the openings an attacker would use, list them in your report, and close them if you want us to.
What we review
We cover the areas where real cloud incidents start.
Identity and access
Admin roles, MFA coverage, service accounts, guest users and access keys that should not exist anymore.
Internet exposure
Virtual machines, databases, storage and management ports reachable from the internet, and whether they need to be.
Data and storage
Public buckets and containers, sharing links, encryption settings and backup protection.
Network controls
Security groups, firewall rules, remote access paths and how your environments are separated.
Logging and alerting
Whether audit logs are switched on, kept long enough and actually reach someone who will act on them.
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
Tenant settings, external sharing, mail protection, legacy sign-in methods and admin hygiene.
How a review runs
1
Scope
We agree which subscriptions, accounts or tenants are in scope and what matters most to you.
2
Access
You give us a read-only reviewer role. No changes are possible at this stage.
3
Review
We assess your configuration against industry-standard CIS Benchmarks and each provider's own security guidance.
4
Report
You get a cloud security assessment report: prioritised findings, the risk of each one and how to fix it.
5
Harden (optional add-on)
If you want, we implement the fixes with your sign-off and confirm each one is closed.
What you receive
- A cloud security assessment report, most critical findings first
- The business risk of each finding in plain language
- Step-by-step fix guidance for your platform
- Findings mapped to CIS Benchmark controls
- A walkthrough call with your team
- Optional add-on: we implement the fixes, with your sign-off
- Confirmation of every fix we apply
- A short summary you can share with customers and auditors
Common questions
Which platforms do you cover?
Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Tell us what you run and we will confirm the scope.
Do you need admin access?
No. The review runs on a read-only role. Changes happen only if you ask us to harden, and only with your sign-off.
How long does a review take?
It depends on the number of accounts, subscriptions and workloads. We confirm the timeline in the proposal before you commit.
Is this the same as a penetration test?
No. A configuration review looks at every setting from the inside. A penetration test attacks from the outside. Many clients do both, and NexStrike covers VAPT.
Will the fixes break anything?
We plan each change with you, start with the low-risk ones and confirm nothing depends on a setting before we change it.
